Cheeeep!

So, yesterday I was exploring and found a little German Island with a whole bunch of shops. I walked up to one that had a particular array of interesting items, and was surprised to see a large banner with the letters: “F-R-E-E”, so I clicked on one of the boxes, and to my surprise, found that for around $50 L, I could buy a list of places that had quality freebie items, or things close to it. One of the listings was for Bare Rose, a sim with a whole array of fantasy costumes ranging from Harajuku to Final Fantasy-esque. If you are tight on cash right now, I found this sexy costume there for only around $150 L.

Punk goes Royale

antoinette1.jpg
Here’s another catch from the 2007 Hair Fair. It’s by far my favorite for its whimsy and detail. The wig makes you look like you just hopped off the set of ‘Marie Antoinette’ but comes in such a vibrant array of colors it even matches your skull-studded armband and converses. Each tendril seems to be placed exactly as it was during the Queen’s reign. The bows in the back are what get me- they are so delightfully ‘over-the-top’, the style can swing both ways: renaissance maiden or goth-punk lolita. Maybe I’m just somewhere in between. Anyways, if you dig it make sure to stop by the booth at the 2007 Hair Fair.

Hair Fair = Crack

For anyone who hasn’t figured it out yet, the Hair Fair 2007 is now underway, and I have recently become ADDICTED to buying new wigs for my avie. Though I feel guilty for spending hard-earned real life dollars on imaginary pixel items, this new hair craze it is completely, utterly, uncontrollable and unstoppable.

If you want to see my greatest finds or hear me rant and rave, here goes:

armidi_bombshell_ginger.jpg

Armidi was the first booth I came across, and this number called ‘Bombshell’ was what started it all. The demo is available in a rich deep brown color, and I loved it, so I bought it in ‘Ginger’. The locks of hair are perfectly placed to make you look like a natural goddess, and the style is modern and trendy.

The next booth I stopped at was Tickled Pink. Here, I have mixed reviews. In the past I have not been a huge fan of this brand. I own Tickled Pink’s ‘Sabrina’ in Apricot, and the texture is unnatural, the prims are a little awkwardly placed, and I feel like detail is missing that I could easily get from another hair boutique for the same price. Looking at Tickled Pink’s Hair Fair 2007 booth, I was surprised to see a new richness in textures with improved sense of detail. I am a huge fan of this style, called ‘Ashley’, which even shows definition in the hair roots and tips. The style itself is gorgeous and the strands are each beautifully placed to frame the face. I have absolutely no complaints.

I didn’t buy the ‘Zoe’ hair, however. It’s an up-do and it’s cute, but it reminds me a little too much of EDT’s ‘Bonita’.

I have so much more to write about, but for now, I think I need to go to sleep. More hair to come!

A Trip to Paris…

I got this entire outfit (+ hair) just from spending a day wandering the streets of New Paris. Around the corner from the Eiffel Tower is a small shop that is as charming as the Parisian landscape. It’s a small boutique inside a red brick building with a cute bay window and concrete stairs leading up to the entrance. As you come closer, you can peek inside and see some of the collection matted with a sweet flower print and displayed in gold antique frames. It has a modest collection of designs, however, I feel they are worth the small amount of Lindens you will pay for them. The first thing I bought is an animal print cami with jeans and a leather belt, however, if you’re picky about seam alignment, it is slightly mismatchy, but overall very well done. I went back and bought this ribbon cami and jean capri set afterwards (advertised as a “NEW item” in the shop) and this problem seemed to have been fixed due to the designer’s since improved technique.

The hair is from Bewitched, and I love this hair. It’s one of the funkiest SL do’s in my collection. It also comes in lighter shades of golden (which I had to buy as well :P), but I prefer the darker shades.

Whoops!

Guys,

Since I have not been on in awhile, I forgot to make this post, which I should have done awhile back.  Andy Evans from the First Opinions Panel sent me a notecard after reading my blog post about FOP, but anyways what he said are some things that you should note.

The two key points:
The First Opinions Panel is not just for product feedback. It can also be used for:

brainstorming new product ideas
feedback on policies in health, education and politics

Just wanted to make that clear!

Boots!!!

Hey All,

I apologize for being MIA for the past little while. As you might be able to tell, my first life has been getting in the way of my second. Anyways, I want to show you these boots:

boots_1-copy.png

I stumbled upon them when browsing a nearby shop called Punch Drunk, advertised on Linden Lifestyles. This shop’s called EnvYou. The store name itself is adorable, and so are the clothes, shoes and skins inside. They even have full body ninja suits. The boots are beautifully textured all with prim detailing; casual, but trendy. They fit great and come with optional star logos to go on each side. Go see for yourself!

Always Nevermore…

I found these boots in a store in Transylvania and instantly fell in love.

pic_boots_trace.jpg

They are called ‘Dollfie Boots’, and after purchasing them I received a notecard explaining that they are based off of the Japanese ‘Dollfie Craze’, an eastern style doll/action-figure similar to Barbie but with better clothes.

The store is called Nevermore and is located in (/^vTRANSYLVANIA v^\) , Vampire Empire (178, 111, 30). There are 10 sets (each for men and women) of intricately crafted chrome-studded nano-prim wonders available. I went ahead and bought two pairs, but my favorites are the ‘Austere’ for women. Prim buckles run up the entire length of the boot complete with a hand-linked? chain and spider charm with jointed legs and eight glistening beady eyes.
real_dollfie4.jpg

In the center of the room is a pedestal that reads ‘Click for LM to main store’. Let me tell you, the main store is much bigger and even more glorious.

It has taken me awhile to post this as I have been sorting out my inventory so that I can blog about new places that even Linden Lifestyles has yet to discover. To my disappointment I searched Second Style Fashionista and LL only to find gushing reviews of Nevermore fashion, however, I couldn’t help posting because these just freakin rock.

Not in the Valentine Spirit?

For those of you who are still single on V-day and feel like shooting cupid right out of midair, here’s your chance to express yourself. I have added this nice little number to the Quantum Tribes shop, so go have a look.
